The Conventional Hantaran
Hantaran is basically your dowry for your partner. Typical characteristics are as follows:
- Something useful and for daily use for extended periods of time.
- An odd number of gifts from both groom and bride.
- Number of gifts from bride exceed number of gifts from groom (e.g. 7:9, 9:11, etc.).
๐กThese are conventional guidelines. Please seek clarity from both families to come to an agreement.
